Christamas 2023 run & Luncheon

Start Miraflores camp site Los Gallardos (Off N340a).

Address- Carretera N-340, 0 0 0 S-N  04280 Los Gallardos, Almería

On site you will find a mini mart Consum. Garden Centre and a restaurant serving drinks, pastries/savouries and full English breakfast.

Coffee 1.30 Euro. Full English breakfast 6.50 Euro………..

We will meet behind Consum in the Restaurant from 9:30am. Leaving promptly at 10:30am.

Be careful some bends en route can catch you out

On our exit take a sharp right hand turn on the track  Paraje Perulaca under the flyover of A7 motorway turning right onto the A340a towards Los Gallardos town en route to Bedar turning right onto the AL6109.

Continue on AL6109 towards El Marchal and Lubrin. At the Lubrin Junction turn right on the A1101 towards La Rambla Aljibe.

Carry on through La Rambla Aljibe and turn right at the junction for AL7105 towards A7 motorway, continue to pass the cement works on right hand side, carry on round and take a left turn on A340n towards Huercal Overa/Murcia joining the A7 motorway at Junction 692.

Carry on up the motorway turning off at the junction  687 towards La Concepcion take a right up this road and enter the slip road for the Hotel Ballabona on the right hand side.

(They are expecting us for our coffee break).

Approximately 1hr 25 mins after start. We will have a 45 minute refreshment  stop.

 Making our way back North onto the A7 motorway taking the next junction 682 turning off at the Hotel Overa.

Carry on towards Huercal Overa parallel with the A7 motorway onto the N340a. Carry on the N340a over the rambla bridge (single track road – you may have to give way). Continue towards Huercal Overa on N340a. Carry on through Huercal Overa and at the 2^nd roundabout (Bar Las Vegas on the Left) pass through traffic light – pedestrian crossing and take the 2^nd turn onto Calle Alamo.

Travel up to next roundabout take a left turn and continue towards the next roundabout carry straight over with Hospital Inmaculada on the left and at the next roundabout take the first right. Continue for 1.5km and at the next roundabout take the 1^st right towards Santa Maria de Nieva on the Ave de Molineta toards the A327  over the A7 motorway flyover towards Santa Maria de Nieva continuing on the A327.

Upon leaving Santa Maria get ready to take a sharp turn right some 14km later.

Continue towards PuerteCico on the A327  which is a sharp right hand turn some 14 km after leaving Santa Maria de Nieva.

Go up the hill after this sharp right hand turn, take the left bend and continue up the hill, go over the crest of the hill (keep left) down the other side and after a hundred metres take a left (opposite 2 large villas on the right) onto a single track lane and continue down to the rambla. Park on the rambla to the right.

Restaurant ‘Los Lucas’ is behind you on the left side at the end of the track up the bank.

You will be required to walk up another bank to the restaurant.

Arriving at approx 1:30 pm

The run is around 83 km’s in total.

Bring a camera there is beautiful scenery along the route.
