October 2018 Events Roundup

It was a noisy and almost rowdy meeting on 4th, with lots of laughter  and banter from the 26 odd folks present. We welcomed guest, Reg Hardman, who I think was ambushed before he could leave without joining. There was a little talk by me about various silver  spray paint paints and comparisons of finish followed by a great quiz by Barry Dennis, which caused lots of amusement. Alan and Margaret Foreman agreed to take on the onerous job of presenting the next quiz.

Wednesday 10th saw nearly 30 members and guests turn up at Mi Casa, Antas, for the start of this month’s run to La Cinta for lunch at the Castle, via Sorbas for a coffee at Mi Casa. All went well with no dramas, much to relief of  Alan and Brenda Marley I’m sure, since it was their first run organised for the club. Well done both!

The 950 Club meeting was held this month on 28th at Amigos Bowling, Arboleas. It was the first I had been to the meeting at this venue and I thought how good it was. There was a good spread of cars in terms of both age and make. Malcolm and Jean’s newly acquired Jag XJS made its first show appearance and very nice it is too.

See you next month.
