September 2018 Events Roundup

September 2018

Our meeting on 6th was attended by 23 folks, not bad considering the heat. We heard about forthcoming events, among other things, and had a little talk by me about rubber fuel line and breather hose failures and sources for good quality replacements. Steve and Amanda presented their first quiz and a fine effort it was too! Well done both.

A disappointing turn out for the run on 20th (organised by David and Sue) was more than compensated by the enthusiasm of the 13 folks taking part.

On 21st, we had our first Club Film Night, which featured two Castrol rally films from the 60s. They went down very well with those attending as did the fish and chip supper afterwards. Thanks to John Cooper and friends for helping make the numbers up.

And finally to the 950 Club meeting, which returned to its usual venue at Bar Laguna. A good turnout with no less the 29 cars (6 of those from our club) which spanned everything from a Rolls Royce to a Citroen 2CV and a Lada 4×4 (mine). A good morning spent chatting.
